Qendra Kosovare për Studime të Sigurisë dhe Komuna e Prishtinës organizuan takimin për Gjininë, Paqen dhe Sigurinë.

In a recent collaborative meeting between KCSS and the Municipality of Prishtina, police officers, social welfare officials, and civil society organizations gathered to address gender-based violence in the Prishtina municipality.

Although the reported cases of gender-based violence have not increased compared to the previous year, there's a notable increase in awareness and reporting. However, efforts should be concentrated on further reducing gender-based violence.

Several pressing issues surfaced during the meeting, notably the shortage of social workers and psychologists within relevant institutions. Additionally, there's a need for better institutional coordination to support victims of gender-based violence effectively. Economic gender discrimination was highlighted as a crucial factor that demands focused efforts to prevent gender-based violence.

KCSS is supported by the program of the KCSF "EJA Kosovo", co-financed by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Sweden and the Government of the Grand Duchy.
